Hubig's pies begin production again

People in the metro area will soon be treated to the return of one of the city’s favorite desserts. Hubig’s Pies, which have disappeared from the shelves since Katrina, are making a comeback. The Dauphine Street Bakery, which had been closed since the storm, has begun production again. The first batch of pies will be shipped to local police and fire stations and to Red Cross sites as a trial run. The fruit-filled, glazed pies will return to the shelves of local stores sometime next week.



I swear to jeebus I'm going to buy a case of the mofo's, one or two of each flavor.
