What the hell is up with all these people that are dissing X-Men 3? I mean, from my standpoint, as someone who's familiar with the comic's storylines, I can see you being a little miffed about the outcomes of a lot of the characters. But I have a strong feeling it's mostly by people who didn't even see the first two films. That's like seeing Star Trek 3 and saying, "What's up with the pointed ears on that Spock guy? And why is Reverend Jim piloting a Klingon ship?"
Get with the program, people. This is not Lawrence of Arabia or Mrs. Miniver. It's an action feature. Comic book characters. Special effects. Whiz. Bang. Oof. Schwing.
It was a fun-assed ride that I enjoyed to the fullest. While I had little cerebral challenge during the film, my primal senses were well-satiated by adamantium claws and x-gene shenanigans. And Anna Paquin, even though she is regrettably without those long gloves at the end of the film.
