So you see, there were all these band uniforms. You know, like a marching band? Dozens of them. Maybe a hundred? We kind of lost count. My friend Scott brought some home from his school, McMain, who was apparently just tossing out a donation. He gave them to all the kids in the neighborhood. And then the parents wanted some. And then the friends of the friends. So he brought them all home, much to his wife's chagrin.
They looked something like this.

That model is somewhat of a beast, but you get the idea. So we sorted them out by size. Anyone who wanted to stop by and take one was more than welcome. I even posted on here about it and was pleasantly surprised with a visit from
dethcherub and
cybraktif, with their two little ones, who, might I add, were very much welcomed to play in the 'hood any time they'd like.
But then this guy drives up in an H3, an immediate violation in my book, but he seemed interested. He peruses what's there, gets Scott's number and takes off. Within five minutes he had called back and asked about buying everything out there, to the tune of $
300! Well, of course Scott took the cash. He's no idiot.
To
theredpanther, I apologize profusely, as I know you asked me to pull some out for you. Alas, they were ferried away from me before I read your note. I might mention that the guy who purchased the remaining wardrobe was apparently the manager for Le Petit. At least that's what he said. Wouldn't surprise me if he owned a costume shop, but who knows.
