You can take that to the Banksy

As reported in several sources, there are a series of guerilla graffiti pieces around town that have that irresistible charm only Banksy could produce. In fact, in today's Times-Picayune the front page of the living section features a gallery of these fantastic works. The thing is, there are a lot of Banksy-wanna-be's out there, so it's hard to put your finger on the real deal.

No more. Mr.Banksy has owned up.

Now I've to find them all before the Gray Ghost destroys them. As it stands, one has already been lost. The owner of the building with the gas-mask brass band has painted over the image. Art is sometimes fleeting. The paper has a few listed, but if anyone knows where the turtle and the two rat pieces are, please let me know?

cooler

Now it may seem trivial to those in more frigid climes, but I walked outside just now, and was surprised by the distinct lack of...heat. Stupid, right? Cause everyone knows the first taste of fall is a nip in the air, right? Different story here in the Crescent City. When you suddenly notice the heat is not bitch-slapping you in the face, then, and only then, can you find solace in knowing the winds will soon swing around to the north. Tonight? A light northerly, sliver clouds drifting past that wide yellow moon. Oh, yeah. Goodbye hurricanes. So long heat indexes in the 100's. Hallelujah, here comes sweet relief! Can I get a witness?*

Get out the long sleeve...beer huggies. Fall is coming!

*And yes, I really do get excited when I detect a sub-70 temperature in September.
