I'm amazed at the amount of music this town is getting lately. That's a sign, people. Get out and rock will ya'?
I found this little gem in my inbox this morning: Henry Rollins at HOB. Tom Jones is playing not too long afterwards. Tom Jones tix are $60!!! I also noticed that the John Mayer show already sold out (damned commercial music fans) and that CKY (!!!) is playing a week before Tom Jones. Dood, CKY!!! Maybe none of it matters since I've got to save up for both Halloween and VoodooFest.
Just thinking out loud. Move along.

Date: 2005-08-09 07:11 pm (UTC)This was back when Tony Hawk had just perfected the McTwist. I could barely do an ollie, but I wanted to be Tony Hawk so badly.
Anyways, there was this one video before Mr. Hawk even had his own line of skate gear, he was in it, and one of the montages was to TV Party, showing all these skate rats pounding beer in some basement before skating in a pool.
Memories. Thanks.
(yes, this was around 1995. I now officialy feel old and decrepit)

just teasing with you. I'm going to go wander off and sing/yell punk songs now.
If I tried to ride a skateboard these days, I would fall and break my leg.

Date: 2005-08-09 07:43 pm (UTC)It could be worth something!
(we also, quite by chance, own the original first issues of both the comics Sandman and Sin City. We were ahead of the curve.
If I had anything worth selling out, I would do so as well. Maybe next life...

Date: 2005-08-09 07:51 pm (UTC)The first time Freddy and I met up was at Aunt Tiki's, a very casual Thursday night. We stayed waaaay late, left around 4 or 5 AM, drinking, doing $10 shots of tequila and watching old skate videos.
Memories, indeed.
