In a rare occurrence, the computer models are almost all on the same path. I can't see I've ever seen that. At least not until a day before a storm hits. Doomsayer forecast is for category 4 when it hits the Gulf "loop", an oblong area above Cuba with average water temperatures in the upper 80s. Some weathercasters call that region the hurricane incubator. It's in the loop that both Katrina and Rita exploded into cat 5 monsters.
