I just got an OUTSTANDING review from my manager. I mean seriously top-notch. Check it:

Penguin is a very valuable team member and I constantly look to him to undertake many varied tasks. He is always available to work extra hours on nights and weekend. He is the person the team looks to for help with any of the Backup Exec environment. His write ups for various projects have been very well received within and without Yoyodyne. With the addition of the RDC team members, I have looked to Penguin to mentor the team.

His work this past year on several DR tests helped to demonstrate the type of quality service Yoyodyne can provide to the customer.

Woo hoo! Now that, of course, is no guarantee that I won't be axed. No one is bulletproof. But this may well be the material evidence to serve as my springboard to management. Yeah. That's right. Show me where to sign for the sellout. I'm 41 and have nothing to show of a career of essentially nothing. At least I can have a bit of power and a bit more money. Until I quit and start carving furniture for Stickley.
