How rich is the symbolism: this is a brown pelican, the Louisiana state bird, found at Breton Sound.

Heavy oil began washing up there this week.



Breton Sound is the nesting ground for 4500 brown pelicans, a population that rebounded from the edge of extinction.

The sad thing is that modern-day Rabbinic Judaism is really a better religion for actual humans than any variation of Christianity is.......
